At this beginning of year 2012, let us review the current status of CBMC in Malaysia since establishment on 6-6-1998.
This may enable us to put things in perspective and propel us to do better in the future.

People often asked why the membership number of CBMC is so small in Malaysia.
My answer is but to borrow from our dear LORD Jesus; that there are many who are called by God but few are chosen
(Matt 22:14). Why is that so ?

Except for South Korea which has more than 5,000 members, most Asia countries have very small CBMC membership
eventhough a few have been established for between 30 to 50 years. However, eventhough the number is small but
most of them, if not all, are true disciples of Jesus who are fully committed to biblical teaching in their lives, businesses
and profession and serving wholeheartedly.
They live out the Micah Mandate of acting justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God (Micah 6:8).

Like any race, many CBMC members started well but along the way, they are distracted; some stumbled
and did not continue as they should. They succumbed to the weakness of their flesh and did not recover.
They dropped out from the race. They failed to complete the race.

A good start does not guarantee a triumphant ending. Only those who are obedient and submissive to the commands
of God from the beginning of the race to the end of it will be chosen!

Most people tend to be impressed by sleek appearances, worldly successes and material riches but God is not impressed
by all these temporal things at all. His eyes are on the look out for those people whose hearts are pure, humble
and perfect towards him so that he may bless and strenthen them for his purpose and glory (2 Chron 16:9).

In conclusion, the bible teaches us to fear God and keep his commandments and to be gentle to all people.
If every member does this, CBMC will surely grow from strength to strength and become a trully poweful market-place
ministry of blessing in MALAYSIA. Dear brother and sister, I challenge you to seize the opportunity to serve in 2012
and may our LORD bless you and keep you and shine his face upon you.
